This was originally posted in May of 2011, and until recently was the most-read article on the blog...Jared turned 30 last week...the pic is from the birthday party he shared with Jonah (my youngest who turned 20 a few days before)...so much has happened since he originally wrote me this letter, and a lot has changed...but none of the important things have changed...I am so thankful for all the relationships in my life, but especially the ones with my kids and grandkids...God is good!

JES, you always make me think. Reading this makes me know now more than ever, that you are truly a chosen one. Jared is more like his father than he knows. You have raised him and the others to think for themselves and frankly that is refreshing. Jared's words are strong even today with all that has happened and all the water under the bridge. But, the bridge still stands, and the water continues to run. Jared was insightful to understand that change, unlimited change is good for the soul. Both spiritually and physically. You have changed alot, but for the good. Truth be told you are giving far more than you know. Thanks for keeping your faith in yourself. You are amazing and your kids are too.

I am sooo moved by this. I am moved to tears. The thing is, I am JUST as passionate about this as he is and I am straight too. It's not a "gay" thing. It's a human being thing. To come from your kid!? Wow... Just WOW!!! I love you guys.

Once again, brought me to tears. The purest of love are words spoken from the heart. What heaven to live in peace within your own skin. Freedom.
