Food for Thought

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
- e.e. cummings, 1955

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10 - Today's New International Version)

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation. - Oscar Wilde, De Profundis, 1905

Who in the world do you think you are to second-guess God? Do you for one moment suppose any of us knows enough to call God into question? Clay doesn't talk back to the fingers that mold it, saying, "Why did you shape me like this?"
(Romans 9:20 - The Message)

The great majority of us are required to live a life of constant duplicity. Your health is bound to be affected if, day after day, you say the opposite of what you feel, if you grovel before what you dislike, and rejoice at what brings you nothing but misfortune.
- Boris Pasternak

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
- Thomas Merton

  1. Authentic selves, no rock, no fig leaves, no covering. Each One as We Are, naked with I Am. Finally.

Daughters and Sons of God are here, now. We appreciate God's shaping of Each of Us. We All are unveiled as the masterpieces God created Each of Us. Each One at peace with ourselves and I Am, as created and intended by Elohim.

It is and always has been real in this world with God. It is well and more. This is what has always been. No duplicity, as Merton is quoted, each self is as themselves, sans our reflection in any other. Fully each other, present and full as created by God, regardless if any of Us see it or not.

    Praise God !!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I Think this fits here ----

I Am, You are happy God,
You bless with Joy and mirth
    Elohim is Joy and Peace
    Allah is so happy God

    Ja, You are rascally God
You give more than We can ask
    You create with pizzazz
    I Am, You are rascally

Yes God, You are awesome God
We are , flesh of Your Word
The fruit, of The Tree of Life,
Yes God, You are Awesome God.

To the tune of 'Our God is an awesome God'

  3. This blogsite inspires many thoughts and hopes...but for now, I add my agreement to Thomas Morton. There may be many challenges in any relationship that includes someone unlike ourselves, but it is so totally worth it on so many levels!
